Thank you for your interest in my work.  Around 12 years ago I was in my favorite home improvement store.  There was a man demonstrating  a scroll saw.  I watched him for almost an hour and  next thing you know one was being loaded into the trunk of my car.  I bought how-to books and videos and taught myself the art of scrolling.  Intarsia is an art form that dates back to the Renaissance period translating to "wood mosaics" or " decorating with wood"  The true form of Intarsia uses different species of wood that are cut and fitted together using the natural tones to create the different shades.  I use a one-board method, cut each piece individually, sand , shape and than stain with an acrylic wash and glue the pieces back together.  Shims are glued to the back of certain pieces to give it a 3D look.  Living in Florida, the wildlife here deserves the brilliant colors.  I can create the natural wood tones on some pieces as you will see.  If you have a particular subject in mind or need a certain size let me know.  I create custom orders as well.
